What does Rainforest Alliance Certification mean, and why is it so important to Mars Drinks?

Mars Drinks is committed to sustainability. By working with Rainforest Alliance, we are able to source ingredients from farms that have been certified, helping to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable livelihoods for grower communities.

Has the taste changed?

Yes, the taste has changed because we now source cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms and have optimised the recipe. When we tested the new recipe with consumers, 79% of consumers told us it is as good as or better than before.*

Has the price and/or case size changed?

The new Chocamento comes in a premium cup and is made from cocoa from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms. To accommodate the new cups the size of the case will be reduced from 500 to 400 cups, however the cup cost will remain the same! To reflect these changes we’ll be changing the product code from SC97 to UK97.

What's the nutritional inforamtion?

In each cup there is: 70 Kcal, 1.2g of fat and 12.9g of carbohydrate.

Why has the brand look and feel changed?

This is to help highlight the new and improved recipe, so everyone will know to expect something new from Chocamento.

We have a range of sustainable products across our tea and coffee categories to compliment the new Chocamento; Fairtrade Percol® Colombia Arabica Coffee and PG Tips® Tea made fully with tea from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ farms.
