The MARS Drinks Environmental Management System, based in the requirements of ISO 14001, is fundamental to rigorously addressing and continuously improving our environmental performance. It covers our factories, our offices, the development of new products and the effect our current products have on the environment.
The result is an ever more careful and efficient use of resources – from encouraging and promoting recycling to conserving energy in production processes.
What are we doing?
At KLIX we realise that our operations have a social, environmental and economic impact on the world around us – both locally and globally. But we want to reduce this impact by changing the way we do things. Our goal is to make our own operations more and more sustainable. From a small shop to a towering office block, we can all do our bit. And with growing desire to cut waste and energy consumption, we're all looking for new ways to reduce our impact on the environment.
We'd like to do more
We want to go a step further and provide hot drinks systems that would enable our customers to have a more sustainable workplace. We've made some interesting changes to our products that will help towards meeting your own sustainability goals. They'll help you reduce waste, reduce the amount of energy your business uses and through initiatives in developing communities, we can both help people to live better lives.
Leaving a smaller carbon footprint
Our central office and factory in the UK are ISO14001 certified and we've already made many changes, but we're still looking for ways to do more.
Right now, we're focusing on positive action in the community and concentrating on three key areas where we feel we can reduce waste further: waste to landfill, energy use, CO2 emissions and water use.
